In Conversation and in Song with SOPHIE-LOUISE DANN

SOPHIE-LOUISE DANNSOPHIE-LOUISE DANN
Sunday 9th November 2014, St James Studio

Sophie-Louise Dann is quite simply one of the most engaging and versatile musical theatre performers that the UK has ever produced. Anyone catching her recently in Forbidden Broadway will have marvelled at how her uncannily sharp take-offs of Elaine Paige, Julie Andrews and Angela Lansbury managed to be both hilarious and affectionate at one and the same time.

Vocally she can nail pretty much anything from Gilbert and Sullivan to Sondheim. In her Olivier nominated performance as Diana Divane in Lend Me a Tenor she stopped the show with the diva’s whistle-stop resume of her most famous roles and as she prepares to give her Barbara Castle in the new musical version of Made in Dagenham you can be sure that another brilliant transformation will be added to her ever growing gallery of characters.
