CAROLE KING: In Words & Music – Jewish Literary Foundation Book Week

55 years after Tapestry transformed popular music, selling 30 million copies, we celebrate one of its greatest icons. Edward Seckerson, host of our recent tributes to Richard Rodgers and Leonard Bernstein, talks to former The Forward editor Jane Eisner about her Jewish Lives biography Carole King: She Made the Earth Move. Performing some of her classic songs is Olivier Award winner Cassidy Janson, who starred in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical in the West End, bringing Carole King to tears before later duetting with her in Hyde Park to an audience of 65,000.
